Supper Box Instructions

This Evening's Menu
"Three courses, three drinks, no reservation required. Pour something, light something, and let's begin."
Before You Start
Everything else is in the box. Here's what to grab for two people doing all three rounds.
- Bourbon — Rounds 1 & 3
- Tequila Blanco — Rounds 2 & 3
- 1 Lemon — Round 1
- 2 Limes — Rounds 2 & 3
- 1 Orange — Round 3
- Soda Water — Rounds 2 & 3
- Salt — just a pinch, Round 3
Honey is already in your box — Franklin packed enough for all three rounds.
Fresh toppings (optional): Fresh chives, cilantro, and thin cucumber slices add the finishing touch across the three rounds. Grab them if you'd like — everything else, including the fried shallots, is in the box.
The Lineup
Traditional
The Welcome"Every great evening starts somewhere familiar. I once made the mistake of opening with the unusual course first — Bucharest, 1924, never again. Start here. Blueberry and horseradish shouldn't work. They do." — Franklin Von Drank
The Build
- 1 hot dog, grilled or cooked to your liking
- 1 bun
- Blueberry jam, spread along one side
- Weber's horseradish mustard
- Fried shallots
- Fresh chives, chopped
The Pairing
- 2 oz bourbon, ½ oz lemon juice, ½ oz honey
- Shake with ice, 10–15 seconds
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice
Spicy
The Build"Now we get interesting. Peach and jalapeño — a combination I first encountered at a roadside stand outside Atlanta, though I've told people it was Marrakech. The hot honey is the truth either way." — Franklin Von Drank
The Build
- 1 hot dog, grilled or cooked to your liking
- 1 bun
- Peach jalapeño jam
- Hot honey, drizzled
- Fried shallots
- Fresh cilantro
The Pairing
- 2 oz tequila blanco, ½ oz lime juice, ½ oz hot honey
- Shake with ice until honey dissolves
- Strain over fresh ice, top with soda water
- Stir gently
Weird
The Memory"This is the one you'll be describing at dinner for a month. Orange marmalade and Dijon on a hot dog — I borrowed the idea from a glaze I once had on a duck in Lyon, applied with considerably less ceremony here. Trust the shallots to hold it together." — Franklin Von Drank
The Build
- 1 hot dog, grilled or cooked to your liking
- 1 bun
- Orange marmalade
- Dijon mustard
- Fried shallots
- Thin cucumber slices (optional, bring your own)
The Pairing
- 1 oz bourbon, 1 oz tequila blanco
- Juice of ½ fresh orange, ½ oz lime juice
- ¼ oz honey, pinch of salt
- Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice
- Top with soda water
The Official Playlist
"Three rounds, three stories, and if I've done my job, at least one argument about whether the soy sauce dog was genius or madness. It was genius. Save room for seconds."
— Franklin Von Drank, Chief Tasting Officer
